SWANVILLE — Waldo County Sheriff’s Deputies received a report of a vehicle rollover on Swan Lake Avenue in Swanville Nov. 4. 

Deputy Merl Reed responded to the scene where he discovered a 1999 Buick Century lying on its roof in the roadway. 

Upon investigation of the scene, Reed determined the operator of the vehicle, age 22, of Winterport, drifted off the roadway before attempting to correct the vehicle.

The operator reportedly over corrected the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle before it collided with a rock embankment. The collision caused the vehicle to flip onto its roof, where it came to rest in the roadway. 

Belfast Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene, where the driver was treated for minor injuries. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Dan’s Towing due to extensive damage.
