Two screenings of 'Hocus Pocus' at Strand Theatre
ROCKLAND — Two screenings of the Halloween comedy Hocus Pocus (1993) are coming up at the Strand Theatre.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m., it will be screened as a Family Series presentation, with all tickets at $5.
A second show will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m., along with a “Ladies Night” popcorn and wine special at the Strand’s concessions. Regular movie ticket pricing applies to this screening.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy star as three witches in this beloved comedy. Conjured up by some unsuspecting pranksters, a tricky trio of 300-year-old witches set out to cast a spell on the town and reclaim their youth. But first, they must get their act together and outwit three kids and a talking cat. The film is rated PG.
Strand Theatre’s monthly Family Matinee Series presents favorite family films from yesterday and today, screened on the last weekend of every month. The Family Series is made possible thanks to Strand's supporting sponsor, the Rockland Harbor Hotel.
Hocus Pocus has a running time of 1 hour 35 minutes.
Tickets are $5/General Admission for the Family Series matinee; and regular ticket pricing for the Tuesday evening show ($10/Adults, $8/Seniors and Under 12, and $7/Strand members) and will be available at the lobby box office 30 minutes prior to show time.
The Strand Theatre is located at 345 Main Street, Rockland.
