One of the benefits to voters who volunteer to help local candidates win their races is that we become acquainted with those candidates. We are able to imagine what it would be like to work with him or her on the job, on a committee or in elected office. Does he or she listen? Remember? Follow through? Talk at you or talk with you?

I am pleased to say that I have become acquainted with Sen. Dave Miramant during his races for the Maine House and Senate. I would choose him any day as someone to work with and someone to represent me in Augusta. 

Dave's willingness to engage with people, regardless of party affiliation, is outstanding. Beyond that, he is a quick study and consistently has been and remains an active participant in his Knox County community and in the legislature during his terms in the Maine House and Senate.

A major focus for Miramant and for me is the well-being of our children and the earth they will inherit. I heartily support Dave for re-election to Senate District 12, and I hope you will, too.
