Camden Rotary awards major grant to Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition
Camden, ME — Camden Rotary Club has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition to support the coalition's program for helping Knox County families break the cycle of addiction.
This is the largest grant to be awarded by the club this year, and is dedicated to the memory of longtime Camden Rotarian Parker S. Laite, Sr. The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition was also selected to receive a special youth-oriented grant of $5,000, funds that will be used to help the children of families struggling with addiction.
The Camden Rotary Club's annual grant program supports local nonprofit organizations throughout Knox County and the Waldo County town of Lincolnville. Applications for 2018 grants administered through the club will be available in January.
