Thomaston Library hosts special Christmas Eve story hour
Join the Thomaston Public Library on Christmas Eve for a special bear-themed Early Bird Storytime. A special story time guest will read from his children’s book, Bear Moonlight Sonata. A bear holiday craft with children’s librarian, Joanna Hynd will follow. Story time on Saturday begins at 9 a.m.
Steven D. Powell is a life-long resident of the Midcoast. He currently lives in Thomaston with his wife, Linda. Bear Moonlight Sonata is his third published book and first children's book. His book is a fictional story about Ludwig van Beethoven’s inspiration for his masterpiece “Moonlight Sonata.” Told from the bear’s point of view it is a fun work of fiction with beautiful illustrations by local artist, Thomas Block. Copies of Bear Moonlight Sonata will be available for sale.
The Thomaston Public Library is housed in the Thomaston Academy building on 60 Main Street in Thomaston. Parking and handicap accessible entrance are at the rear of the building on Gleason Street.
