Weatherize Rockland launches sponsorship program
With the holiday season and cold weather here, money is tight for many Maine families. Weatherize Rockland is helping Rockland residents tighten up their homes and lower energy bills. In an effort to make energy efficiency upgrades accessible to everyone, Weatherize Rockland is asking for help.
Through the combined efforts of Efficiency Maine and Weatherize Rockland, a donation can help a low-income family or individual obtain up to $1,000 of home weatherization and energy efficiency work for only $50. Efficiency Maine offers financial incentives for weatherization and energy efficiency work in low-income homes, and Weatherize Rockland has launched a sponsorship program to allow individuals and institutions to contribute $50 to cover the cost of weatherizing a single home.
For $50, one can have a dramatic positive impact on a local family or individual by helping them stay warm and save money through this and every other winter.
All sponsors will be recognized on the Weatherize Rockland website, Facebook page, and other public channels.
To sponsor a home, send a check for $50 to:
Audra Caler-Bell
Acting City Manager
270 Pleasant St.
Rockland, ME 04841
Make the check payable to "City of Rockland" and write "Weatherize Rockland" on the memo line. To sponsor multiple homes, write larger checks in increments of $50.
Weatherize Rockland is a program of the City of Rockland's Energy Advisory Committee. For more information, e-mail info@weatherizerockland.me or visit weatherizerockland.me.
