Historic Inns of Rockland joins inns across the country in ‘B&Bs Going Blue’
ROCKLAND — National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is Saturday, Jan. 9, and the three properties of The Historic Inns of Rockland are jumping on the B&Bs Going Blue bandwagon to offer a free night’s stay to law enforcement personnel. Joining innkeepers throughout the country, Berry Manor Inn, LimeRock Inn and Old Granite Inn will each open their doors with complimentary overnight stays for two on Jan. 9, to say thank-you to the law enforcement personnel in our communities.
"Given all that's happening in our world, we want to recognize our law enforcement personnel for the personal sacrifices they make each day to keep our communities safe," said Cheryl Michaelsen, co-owner of the Berry Manor Inn, in a news release. "Offering rooms is a small way we can help spread the message we appreciate the support to the community offered by each law enforcement personnel.”
B&Bs Going Blue was started this year as a way to show support and appreciation to the nation's law enforcement. Innkeepers from Maine to Minnesota to New Mexico and beyond are joining in the program by offering free overnight stays to law enforcement and their families on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
Each of the three Historic Inns of Rockland will offer one or more complimentary overnight stays on Jan. 9, for two adults including breakfast the next day, on a first-reserved basis as space allows. Any law enforcement personnel interested in reserving one of the complimentary stays is advised to call the participating inns to reserve a room. Space is limited, so all are advised to call quickly. Those staying will be asked to show their badge or proof of employment.
