New Ventures hosts fall career planning classes in Midcoast
ROCKLAND — Refresh yourself and your career with training classes offered by New Ventures, Maine, formerly Women, Work, and Community.
“Get Started on Your Career Plan”, a 2 hour introductory class will be held in Damariscotta, at the Central Lincoln County Adult Education on Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ready for a change but don't know where to start? This workshop will help point you in the right direction. You will identify your unique career interest code, review what to consider when making a career choice, and learn about local resources that will increase your employability, job satisfaction, and earning potential.
“Career Planning”, a 5 week intensive workshop at University College at Rockland , Tuesdays, from Oct. 6 through Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

In this class you will review your skills, interests, and experiences and relate them to occupations, identify educational opportunities, research the local job market, and develop a step-by-step plan to achieve your goals.
