Children’s Museum hosts art workshop, Project Puffin
ROCKLAND — The Coastal Children's Museum, 75 Mechanic St., will hold two programs in two locations on Saturday, June 27.
At the Children's Museum, at 11 a.m., artist Sue Reed will be making ocean-themed collages with kids of all ages. Reed will be using a variety of materials and pictures to make a collage that will continue the museum’s celebration of our oceans and the Gulf of Maine.
Reed has more than 20 years of experience working in the art field and has previously led many workshops at the museum. This workshop is included in the price of admission and is free for members.
Also on Saturday, June 27, the Children’s Museum and Project Puffin are teaming up for the last of their Seaside Explorer workshops, which will be at the Project Puffin Visitor Center, 311 Main St., at 3 p.m.
In this workshop, kids will learn about migration, and the importance of preserving the routes that animals take on these long journeys.
To sign up for this free workshop, contact either the Coastal Children’s Museum at 596-0300 or Project Puffin at 596-5566.
