ReStore receives large donation from local hotel
ROCKPORT — A large donation of furnishings from an area hotel has filled the Midcoast Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
"ReStore thrives thanks to the generosity of our donors, both businesses and individuals," said Jodi Maltese, ReStore manager, in a news release. "We are fortunate to receive such quality merchandise."
ReStore items vary from mid-century antiques to shabby chic treasures: Furniture, appliances, plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, lighting and hardware.
By selling donated supplies, appliances and furniture (both new and gently used), monies raised by the ReStore are used to finance the construction or rehab of houses creating homeownership opportunities for partner families.
The ReStore has diverted over 400 tons of waste out of the landfills since it opened in 2011.
The Midcoast Habitat ReStore is open Wednesday – Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Donation drop offs can be made during store hours, or for larger items call 236-6123 to schedule a pick-up. Donations are tax-deductible.
