"Marbling and Paste Paper" workshop at the Camden Public Library with Amy Hand, 7 p.m. Register by calling the library at 236-3440. There will be a $10 materials fee. The workshop is part of the library's "Jumpstart January" series.
Sunday, Jan. 11
"Weaving the Joy" basket weaving demonstration by Shirley A. McAfee, 2 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, part of the Camden-Rockport Historical Society's "Maine Living Series."
"Living from a Creative Center" workshop at the Camden Public Library with writing instructor and creativity coach Teresa Piccari, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Although the sessions are free, pre-registration is required, as space is limited to 12 people. For more information or to register, contact the library at 236-3440. The session is open to writers and artists in all mediums.
Monday, Jan. 12
Erika Manning presents "The Peri-Menopausal Years and Beyond" at noon at the Camden Public Library as part of the Destination Wellness Brown Bag Lunch series. Manning will focus on the therapeutic use of yoga for women as they transition through the sometimes challenging peri-menopausal years.

Leer y Charlar Spanish Book Club, 1 p.m. at the Camden Public Library; all who are proficient in Spanish are welcome.

Regular meeting of the Reading Group of the Camden Philosophical Society, 4 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. The future direction and character of the Camden Philosophical Society will be the topic for discussion at the January meeting of the reading/discussion group.

Midcoast Audubon hosts naturalist Mike Shannon's retrospective, "Looking Back," 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. "Beauty, wildness, and possibility . . . three good reasons why I became a naturalist!" he said.

Ice Carving Demonstration with master ice carver Tim Pierce, 1 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, in preparation for Winterfest on January 31. Open to all, dress warmly.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
"Tech Tuesday" with staff wizard Olga Zimmerman, 3 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. The topic is "iPad Tips and Tricks." Bring iPads, questions, and answers to be shared with each other.
Songwriters Session led by John Nicholas and David Dodson, 6 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome, $5 donation appreciated. The Songwriters will prepare and perform original songs at the Library Coffeehouse.
Fly Tying workshop with Maine Guide Paul McGurren, 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library, part of the library's "Jumpstart January." Call to register, space is limited to ten. $10 materials fee. If there is enough interest another session will be scheduled.
