Appleton native’s photography exhibited at town library
APPLETON — Fine Art photography "Reflections on Nature" by Eric Johnson will be on display at the Appleton Library through November. Eric Johnsen is a self-taught landscape photographer and camera collector who finds beauty and redemption, even the sacred, in the natural world.
He grew up in Appleton Village on a sprawling dairy farm that gave him both an appreciation of nature and the freedom to search and explore the fields and streams that lay at his feet.
An idyllic childhood, a hard working mother, and positive role models helped to lay the groundwork for a natural curiosity and reverence for place.
The Appleton library presents the culmination of seven years of Johnsen's photography.
Johnsen currently lives in Harpswell with his wife Holly.
