Fern ID Fun and Fern Illustration

ORLAND — Join Maine Master Naturalist Connie Tuller for a two-part program, Friday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Aug. 2, on Maine fern identification and illustration.

Friday at 6:30 pm, meet Connie at the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands South Gate (Rte. 1 near the Rte. 176 intersection) for a short fern identification walk to familiarize yourself with local species.

Saturday at 9:30 a.m, learn to paint ferns in the Wildlands. Connie specializes in watercolor, but participants can bring whatever paints they prefer. Connie can supply some materials for a small charge. Attend one or both parts of the free program. If it rains Friday, the ID walk will be Saturday morning.
