What are old books worth?
Rare books expert at Lincolnville Community Library
Have some old books tucked away, hoping they might be worth something someday? Come find out this Wednesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library. John Clute, an internationally known writer, critic and rare books collector, will discuss what makes a book valuable and why particular ones might be worth keeping or trying to sell.
People are invited to bring up to five books each for him to evaluate. Clute, who divides his time between London and Lincolnville, is the partner of well-known local writer Liz Hand.
The library is located at 208 Main Street in Lincolnville Center. For more information, e-mail lincolnvillelibrary@tidewater.net or call 763-4343.
