THOMASTON — The Thomaston Main Street’s Music Behind the Block series, from July 31 to August 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., continues. All ages are welcome to this family-friendly activity.

Music Behind the Block, now in its 4th year, offers free admission and takes place on the lawn behind Thomaston’s Municipal Building, at 13 Valley Street. Ample parking is available behind the business block on Route 1. In case of rain, the event will move to Watts Hall, located at 174 Main Street.

The following descriptions accompany a news release of the event:

August 7: AC Power Trio – Led by bassist and vocalist Aaron 'AC' Davis, the AC Power Trio plays an eclectic mix of original works, classic covers, hilarious mashups, and amazing medleys. Ranging from The Meters to Metallica and Bill Withers to Tenacious D, AC delivers soulful vocals, driving bass, and non-stop entertainment. With guitarist EenoR Wildeboar and drummer Sam Yawdik, the AC Power Trio is a band that will not disappoint!
 
August 14: 32 North – Fresh off their performance at the Thomaston 4th of July celebration, 32 North’s eclectic mix of high-vibe Americana channels old-school outlaws, the Grateful Dead, rock, Bonnie Raitt, country, Ricki Lee, fiddle tunes, and tasty originals.
 
August 21: Jim Gibson Band – Jim Gibson blends his roots of Blues, Rock, Gospel, and Country. Whether performing on stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville or at the Lionel Hampton Blues and Jazz Club in Paris, France, Gibson’s versatility surges before a live audience. With his soulful vocals and engaging stage presence, Jim Gibson is blues combined with a dose of rock and soul, making for a compelling performance.

 
Bring your chairs, pick up some takeout from one of Thomaston’s many local eateries, and gather for a family-friendly night filled with fun, music, and camaraderie.
