Kevin Scott Small, obituary
VINALHAVEN — Kevin Scott Small, 40, of Vinalhaven, died on January 25, 2024 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was the son Lyndon and Lori (Doak) Small.
Kevin was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and boyfriend. He was known of his willingness to help anyone who ever needed a hand with anything. Kevin had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor that kept all who knew him on their toes. He loved being on the water, clamming, but he most enjoyed spending time with his family. Kevin will forever be known as the best “boat painter” in Vinalhaven.
He was predeceased by his father, Lyndon Small; his paternal and maternal grandparents; uncles Steve Small, Gary Small, George Doak; aunt Lynette Woodcock; and cousin, Gary Small.
Surviving is his mother, Lori Small; his three children, Jeremiah, Mariah, and Joshua Small; stepchildren, Makayla and Aiden Boody, who he loved like his own; brother Lyndon (Alica) Small and their children, Damian, Corey and Dawson; Hartland (Allie) Small and their children, Stephen, Oceanna, and Jaxon; aunts, Brenda (Bruce) Philips, Sally (Dale) Conway, Annette Cash, Carrie (Emery) Seavey; uncles, Dale (Marsha) Doak, Harold (Charla) Doak, Kenny Doak; many cousins.
Also surviving is his loving girlfriend, Kirsten Barton, whom he loved so much and who brought the spark back into his eyes; her mother, Candice Barton, and her brother, Nick Barton.
