Ramon Aubrey Collemer, obituary
LINCOLNVILLE — Ramon Aubrey Collemer, 92, died at his home in Lincolnville on October 22, 2023. Born in Camden, he was one of eight children of Aubrey G. and Elsie (Heald) Collemer, and grew up on the family farm in Lincolnville.
A member of King David’s Masonic Lodge for 54 years, Ramon presided over all chair levels. In addition, he was an active member of the Allagash Alliance and took great pride in helping restore the trains at Chamberlain Lake.
Ramon was employed with several businesses, the last being with Robbins Lumber in Searsmont, where he worked for 23 years. His friendship with owner, Jenness Robbins, was truly valued. He was known as a “Jack of all trades” and a master of most, as he could fix anything.
His many strong friendships during his working years, were very important to Ramon. Known for his love of children and animals, both often sought out his company and care.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret (Richardson) Collemer, and a sister, Marilyn Boyce of Essex Jct., Vermont.
A role model for family, Ramon demonstrated hard work and honesty for his three children, Jo, Ellie and Sam; grandchildren, Jeni and Ryan and great-grandchildren, Emma and Hailey; and close family Mike, Ted and Erica.
A Masonic graveside service will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Maplewood Cemetery in Lincolnville. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com.
