Zachariah William Jackson, obituary
ROCKLAND — Zachariah William Jackson, 23, went to be with his Lord, September 25, 2023.
Zach was born in North Carolina May 16, 2000 the first born son of Staff Sergeant William S. Jackson II and Katie Layer Jackson. He graduated from Midcoast Christian Academy in 2018.
Zach was a very talented and sensitive young man who was an accomplished musician, skateboarder and artist. His intelligence was greatly complemented by his quick wit and humor. His relationships with family and friends were a priority. Zach was hard working with creative goals and he deeply loved the coast of Maine.
Predeceased by his father, Staff Sergeant William S. Jackson II, November 11, 2006 in Iraq; Zachariah leaves behind his mother, Katie Layer Jackson; his beloved brothers, Levi and Samuel; and sisters Hannah, Abigail and Melody all of Manitou Springs, Colorado; his maternal grandparents, David and Kathy Layer; uncles, Casey (Heidi) Layer and family of Saginaw, Michigan, and Benjamin (Sarah) Layer and family of Siedlce, Poland.
He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, William S. and Carolyn Jackson of Rockland; aunt Victoria Jackson and her daughter Stella; and an uncle, David Jackson and wife Stephanie Almasi of Watertown, Massachusetts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 2 p.m., at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, 1 Waldo Ave, Rockland, Maine.
