A celebration of life for Doris Jeanette Dudley, 88, who died peacefully, November 13, 2021, will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11 a.m., at The Salvage Church, 30 Sheerer Lane, Rockland, Maine.

ROCKLAND — Doris Jeanette Dudley, 88, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Born in Rockland September 12, 1933, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mildred Cora Dinsmore Ingerson. She was educated locally, graduating from Rockland High School.
A hard worker her entire life, she has been employed over the years and been the smiling face and pleasant co-worker at Van Baalens, JJ Newberry’s lunch counter, Dunkin Donuts, Walmart, Electrotech and Stinson’s Canning, just to name a few.
Doris never met anyone she didn’t love or didn’t love her. She loved nothing more than having kids around and was a second mother and grandmother to countless children. She was affectionately known as Mimi to many. She has resided in the Rockland area most of her life, but enjoyed a year and a half of living in Florida with one of her daughters. During that time she was pleased to have reunited with one of her sisters whom she had not seen in 25 years.
Predeceased by her parents; her first husband Donald Carter, her second husband, James Dudley, a step-daughter, Ann Carter, and seven siblings; Doris is survived by her children, Linda Mitchell and her husband Freemont, Cynthia Larrabee and her husband Dennis all of Knoxville, Tennessee, Susan Urquhart and her husband Clyde of Bangor, Carol Krise and her husband George, Donald Dudley all of Rockland, Penny Sanborn-Dostie and her husband David Dostie of Warren, Edward Cater of Nobleboro; and many grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews and a large loving extended family.
A celebration of life will be announced in the Summer of 2022.
