New children’s books at Appleton Library
APPLETON — Due to the generosity of the Union Masonic Lodge, the Mildred Stevens Williams Memorial Library has recently been able to purchase over fifty books for young readers. The books include numerous works of fiction, some poetry, books focusing specifically on race, gender, and social and political issues, and a number of graphic novels.
The new selections include the categories of both juvenile and young adult readers. The works are all Maine Student Book Award Winners and are highly recommended. Please stop by to check out a few books for yourself, or for your favorite young readers.
The Appleton Library is currently open on Tuesdays from 12 to 8 pm; on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Curbside pickup is also available during those hours. You can reach staff at 207-785-5656.
