Maine is known for its lighthouses and the breathtaking seascapes surrounding them. In this new volume entitled Lighthouses of Maine: A Photographic Journey, photographer Dominic Trapani has gone to great lengths capturing the beauty, romance and mystery that are synonymous with  the lighthouses of Maine from Kittery to Calais, according to a news release.

As a photographer, Trapani is motivated by a passion to capture the breathtaking beauty and many moods of the Maine coast. He has been around lighthouses his entire life and has experienced them on many fronts – from adventure to preservation. He enjoys searching out and sharing all aspects of coastal life as seen through the lens of his camera.

Trapani’s work has been published in several calendars, magazines and regional Maine guides.

Lighthouses of Maine: A Photographic Journey contains 150 images that were captured throughout all four seasons.

“From pure serenity to dramatic weather, the book’s imagery will stoke emotions and inspire many a daydream,” said the release.
