Thomaston Grammar recognizes students with Respect Awards
THOMASTON — Several Thomaston Grammar School students were recognized for their respectfulness at a school-wide ZOOM Assembly on Thursday, October 1. Showing respect is the most important trait that each one of us should possess and practice, according to TGS, in a news release. Respect for oneself and for schoolmates includes paying attention to others’ feelings, emotions, and physical well-being.
“Respect for adults and respect for the physical plant of our school all add up to being exemplary members of our TGS community,” said TGS.
The children who have earned this recognition for respect show the following attributes: they are active listeners and problem solvers with peers; they accept direction from adults; and they know that TGS is a place of learning and of building relationships with each other.
Student recipients of the Respect Award:
Ella Chamberlin, Norah Smith, Swayze Prior, Wyatt Earley, Addyson Schultz, Evelyn Fairfield, Oliver Quinn, Isabella O’Clair, Ava Chamberlin, Noah Blakey, Beckett Haskell, Iris Quint, and McKenzie Liddell.
Leah McLellan was also presented with this month’s Principal’s Award.
Leah is extremely deserving of this award. She is a prime example of someone who is continuously safe and kind and always tries her best. She is responsible, respectful, trustworthy, honest, and so much more. She cares about her classmates and her greater school community and is consistently willing to do whatever she can to make our community a great place to be.
She is an excellent student, classmate, and friend. She is a cooperative and caring partner or group member. She is happily willing to work with anyone and to help them to be successful. She has a positive attitude that is contagious and impacts those around her. She is a welcome addition to any classroom and does not need reminders to make good choices; those choices come naturally to her. We are very lucky to have Leah as a member of the Thomaston Grammar School community.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards at TGS this month!
