SEARSPORT — Carver Memorial Library is holding a silent auction fundraiser that runs from November 15 through December 15. Those interested can bid during library hours on festive baskets with themes such as tea, pasta, crafts, and many more.

All proceeds benefit the library.

Every time patrons visit the library, they can check out a book and check their bids — supporting the library and Christmas shopping at the same time, according to Carver Memorial, in a news release.

The library is grateful to Kendra Newcombe for coming up with the idea last year, and for the success of the fundraiser.

“We hope that it is just as successful this year,” said the Library.

Carver Memorial Library, located at 12 Union Street, is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
