Appleton Library May and June events
Appleton Public Library, at 2916 Sennebec Road, 785-5656, appletonlibraryme.org, has scheduled the following May and June events.
Hours: Tuesdays noon - 8 p.m.; Wednesdays 3-6 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
May Events
Thursday evenings, May 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 6-8 p.m.: Tech Assist. Every Thursday evening, we will be available to help with basic computer questions, and can help troubleshoot Microsoft and Google Docs issues.
Thursday, May 10, 6-8 p.m.: Family Game Night. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a variety of games on the second Thursday of every month! If you have a favorite board game, please take it to share.
Tuesday, May 15, 3-4 p.m.: Fiber Arts Tuesday. Itching to complete that fiber arts project? Come and stitch with Penelope Olson and Julie Sells on the third Tuesday of every month. We promise dynamic discussions, and perhaps, laughter while we work on our projects. As Penelope is an expert fiber artist, please come with questions.
Thursday, May 17, 7:30 p.m.: third Thursday Talk: Pictures of the Place Where You Live: A Slideshow presentation of the Hammond Collection of old Appleton photos in conjunction with the Appleton Historical Society.
Saturday, May 19, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Open Studio with Jackie Dunham. Please join us to create a drop-in art project. Materials provided. All ages and abilities welcome!
Weekly Children Activities: Saturdays at 10:30 am: StoryTime for children of any age!
Sat., June 2: Chewonki's Traveling Nature History Program on Vernal Pools & Field Trip
Sat., June 9: Bikes for Books Kick Off Celebration! Sign up for our Summer Reading program and your chance to win a new bike donated by the Union Masons.
Sat., June 16, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Open Art Studio with Jackie Dunham.
Sun., July 15: Barns, Blooms and Books tour. Join us for our inaugural Appleton Library fundraiser.
