Waldoboro Fire Dept. annual open house, Oct. 11

The Waldoboro Fire Department invites the public to its annual open house at the fire station on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at 6 p.m. All of the firefighting equipment will be on display.
"It is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters and see what we do," said WFD, in a news release.
Numerous activities planned include:
* Fire Truck Rides
* Children's Games
* A visit from Sparky the Fire Dog with his message "SMOKE ALARMS, Make Them Work For You!”
* A visit from Smokey the Bear along with representatives from the Maine Forest Service.
* You can tour the Mobile Command Unit from the State Fire Marshal's Office.
* Smoke Education trailer, presented by the Damariscotta Fire Department. (see what it's like in a smoke-filled room)
* and others.
"Hope to see you there!" said WFD.
