Troy Howard 7th boys basketball tops Medomak
BELFAST — The Medomak seventh grade boys basketball team hit the road Thursday, Dec. 12 to Belfast to challenge the Troy Howard “A” team.
Troy Howard maintained quarterly advantages of 17-10, 34-21 and 48-29 en route to a 59-40 victory over Medomak.
“Though down throughout most of the game the young men fought hard throughout the contest with very half court defense and overall hustle,” said Medomak coach Pat Delahanty. “Liam Belyea and Donald Havener contributed solid minutes while Seamus Donaghy, Ryan Cameron and Kaden Genthner provided assistance on both ends of the floor.”
Scoring for Medomak were Vishal Mellor (nine points), Kristian Schumann (six), Gavin White (five), Carrick Lally (five), Gabe Lash (five), Porter Gahagan (four), Jack Martin (three) and Aiden Abbotoni (three).
Scoring for Troy Howard were Peter Lovejoy (16 points), Curtis Littlefield (10), Eli Veilleux (nine), Kamin Weatherington (five), Ethan Abbott (four), Sam Field (two), Kaden Grottin (two) and Cole Castro (one).
The next game for Medomak will be Monday, Dec. 16 on the road against the Troy Howard “B” team.
