Submissions sought for Rockland art show
ROCKLAND — Asymmetrick Arts and Black Hole announce the Spring Exhibition 2015, an open submission art show to be held in Rockland this May.
The two galleries, located on Main Street in Rockland, will begin their 2015 season with this gallery collaborative, group exhibition, designed to encourage and promote contemporary, creative, and vibrant work, especially that of Maine-based artists.
The show will provide an opportunity for artists to exhibit in, and work with, two of the town's established art destinations, and will run from May 1-25.
An independent jury of artists, which will include Robert Colburn (Damariscotta), Cig Harvey (Rockport) and Warren Seelig (Rockland), will select work from submissions in all media and subject. The exhibition will be co-curated by Bethany Engstrom and Leith MacDonald.
The closing date for submissions is March 1, with exceptional entries from all artists encouraged. For more information, visit www.blackholegallery.com; or contact Asymmetrick Arts at 207-594-2020 or Black Hole at 207-400-2957.
