SPRUCE HEAD — Scott Allen Elwell, 59, died Friday, July 21, 2023. Born in Rockland, September 13, 1963, he was the son of Herbert C., Jr. and Mary Robbins Elwell.

Scott was a 1982 graduate of Rockland District High School. He worked as a mechanic at several local garages and from his home.

He was Uncle Scott to many kids, many of them not even related to him.

Predeceased by his father, Herbert, and a baby nephew, Nicholas Owen Miller; Scott is survived by his mother, Mary L. Elwell of Spruce Head; his daughters, Anne Candelaria and her companion Dean of Rockland, Bridget Artibani of Florida; his brother Sam O. Elwell and his wife Rebecca of Owls Head; his sister Julie A. Kelly and her husband Gene of Rockport; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his companion DesiRea Nagel, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Ocean View Cemetery, Spruce Head Road, South Thomaston. Pastor Christopher Quimby will officiate.

Scott attended Harmony Bible Church in South Thomaston. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Harmony Bible Church, 337 Spruce Head Road, South Thomaston, ME 04858.
