Rockport Harbor Hotel representatives donate to Happenings on the Harbor series
ROCKPORT — Representatives from the new proposed Rockport Harbor Hotel presented a check today to Abbie Leonard, chair of the town’s Happenings on the Harbor Committee and Rockport’s Harbor Master. The donation of $1,000 is in support of the organization’s four annual events, which includes this weekend’s Holiday on the Harbor and three summer concert series events.
This weekend’s Holiday on the Harbor will begin at Dec. 21, at 4 p.m., on Rockport Harbor. Activities will include several fire pits and holiday music, visits with Santa, refreshments and cash bar with hot toddies and pizza from Flatbread Pizza, a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30pm followed by fireworks over the Harbor. A highlight of the event are the over 2,000 luminaries on display in the heart of Rockport village seen along roadways and sidewalks.
Representing the Rockport Harbor Hotel, were Matthew Levin, director of Hotels and Marketing; Erick Anderson, general manager; and Allyson Poutasse, director of Rooms. Allyson is also a Happenings on the Harbor Committee member and has been helping plan this weekend’s Holiday on the Harbor event along with other committee members.
The proposed Rockport Harbor Hotel, a small hotel, will be nestled in between The Shepard Building, home of 18 Central Oyster Bar and Grill and Bay Chamber Concerts, and the Union Hall building, home to Niña June Restaurant and the Union Hall event venue.
