Rockport elects Brendan Riordan to Select Board; Meil as Democrat candidate to Maine House

    ROCKPORT — The turnout at the polls June 14 in Rockport was healthy, even thriving, according to town staff and volunteers. More than 600 residents cast their votes, and 120 sent theirs in via absentee ballot. They elected Brendan Riordan to Select Board, as well as Ann Filley, Stephanie Kumble and Paul Charbonneau to the Library Committee.

    Democrats also voted Kathleen Meil to be the Democratic District 94 candidate to Maine’s Legislature, with 212 votes. Her opponent, Elizabeth Saltonstall, received 191 votes.

    The school budgets for School Administrative District and Five Town CSD passed.
