Peter William Mulholland, obituary
Peter William Mulholland, age 74, died in the hospice center of Christiana Memorial Hospital in Delaware, on 7-11-24, after a long battle with cancer. Born on 7/4/49, he always thought that the fireworks on Independence Day were just for him. So did we. I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy was his theme song.
He was predeceased by his parents, William J. Mulholland and Marie (Labrie) Mulholland of Lowell, Massachusetts, and many elder beloved relatives.
He is survived by his sisters, Anne Feurer and Patty Mulholland; and brother, John (and wife Pat) Mulholland; along with nephews and nieces Meaghan, Jonathan, Maria, Harmony, and Sally, their partners and descendants.
He had also been married to Peggy (McKenna) Mulholland.
Peter was a beloved family member. He traveled across the US and Europe, and was a jack of all trades, spending time as a miner, electrician, railroad worker, landscaper, etc. He was also an avid birdwatcher.
He spent his later years looking after first his father, and then his sister and brother-in-law Gary Feurer when they needed him, and then spent time with Anne and Maria when his own needs became great. He was always a favorite uncle and beloved brother. We’ll miss him!
Memorial services will be planned in the future.
