Moxie exhibit to open in Union
UNION — The Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage, in Union, birthplace of Dr. Augustin Thompson, inventor of Moxie, will have its Moxie wing open in 2020, beginning July 1.
The exhibit will run through August 29, Wednesday through Saturday, for limited attendance viewing. Hours are from noon to 4 p.m., and entrance is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 16, and for seniors 65 and over.
“Visitors MUST wear masks, maintain social distancing, and groups are limited to 5 persons at a time,” said the Museum, in a news release. “We will have our full complement of new Moxie items for sale as well as a special sale table of collectibles including bottles, patches, paper goods, etc. All proceeds will support the Moxie wing of the Museum. Come see the Moxie bottle house and over 1000 Moxie items on display!”
The balance of the museum will be unavailable for public viewing.
