The Busline League basketball season for large and small schools are going strong now that the Thanksgiving break is over.
There are two Busline League divisions, the small schools are just that, schools that usually do not have enough players for a seventh and eighth grade team. So they combine them and play like teams. The large school are the schools that usually will have a seventh and an eighth grade team. Schools decide on which league they will compete in.
Coaches and managers are encouraged to report results and scores from their games as soon as possible after the game. To save everyone time, just take a photo of the score book for both teams and send it on to sports@penbaypilot.com. If you cannot take a photos of the books, just send final score, players totals and score by quarters for each team.
Here are the games that have been reported recently.
Girls 7th grade
Oceanside Blue 56, Camden-Rockport 24... At Rockland, the game was a Schooner home game, but because of floor damage to the CRMS gymnasium their home games will be on the road for at least the rest of this year.
Grace Woodman led the Mariners with 24 points; Katherine Freeman 23; Olivia Dougherty and Autumn Harvey six each; Sadie Stuart four, liane Hooper two; and Haley Boynton one.
For CRMS, Lexi Heidorn had 18 points; and Alex Southworth six.

Lincolnville 60, Searsport B 9... The Lincolnville girls jumped out to a good start and never trailed as they rolled to victory.
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Mirada Dunton had 24 points; Kristina Kelly 16; Geary eight; Lili Clement six; and Rose O'Brian and Hope Osgood two each.
For Searsport B, Libby Frazee had three points; and Sarah Guet, Rosa Estes and Cassidy Priest two each.

Lincolnville 18 12 16 14= 60
Lincolnville 42, Searsport A 21... The Lady Lynx hosted the A team from Searsport Dec. 2 handing them another loss.
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Kristina Kelly with 20 points; Miranda Dunton 14; Miranda Geary six; and Lili Clement two.
For Searsport A, Casey Snow had nine points; Jenna Keach eight; and Abigail Stemp and Brooklyn Knowles two each.

Medomak 76, Great Salt Bay 11... At Damariscotta, the River Hawks boys had all 15 players score in a lopsided victory over the host Cougars.
Scoring for Medomak were, Brandon Starr had 12 points to lead the way; Ethan Reed 11; Noah Crosby and Zach Sinclair seven each; Zach Winpenny and Parker Morrison six each; Ian Doughty, Issac, Aiden Starr and Max Moody four each; Anthony York three; and Owen Underhill, Zach Cheeseman, Kallon Mortensen, and Isaiah Staples two each.
For GSB, Nick Prior had three points; Gavin Doloff, Carlos Canny and Garrett Day had two each; and Will Farrell and Cooper Waltz one each.

Lincolnville 72, Searsport B 9... The game was all Lincolnville as they routed Searsport B in a small school matchup.
Scoring for Lincolnville were Skye Abaldo with 15 points; Owen Markowitz 14; Eric Andrews 12; Ivan Young 11; Simon Polk eight; Braden Moulton six; Sam Luft four; and Hayden Marino two.
For Searsport B, Josh Wright had five points; Hunter Treat three and Spencer Philbrook one.

Lincolnville 46, Searsport A 34... The Lincolnville boys continue to roll past its opponents as the season goes forward.

For Searsport, Daegan Moody had nine points; Gabe Poulin and Brandon Littlefield five each; Colby Snow, Dylan O'Brien and Steven Perkins four each; Dallas Kroening two; and Gabe Kneeland one.
