Denise DeSpirito will lead an online presentation called, Transitioning Spaces: Merryspring’s Pollinator Garden, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, May 7, at 12 p.m. 

Merryspring's pollinator garden is undergoing a transition and in this presentation participants will learn about the process of that change. Tips will be shared on how to revitalize a space that has been overgrown with weeds and how to plan a multi-year transition to a fully native garden that provides for local pollinators. A variety of native perennial plants will be talked about to help guide participants in choosing some for their own gardens.

DeSpirito is a gardener and herbalist. She has grown herbs all over the Northeast, including Avena Botanicals in Rockport, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in New York, and Farmacy Herbs in Rhode Island. She currently serves as Garden Manager at Merryspring.
