Linda E. Haskell, obituary
NEW GLOUCESTER — Linda E. Haskell, 70, passed away peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law by her side, after a period of declining health.
Born in Rockland, April 21, 1954 she was the daughter of Albert Wilson, Jr. and Mary Smith Wilson Taylor. Educated locally, she was a 1972 graduate of Rockland District High School. The following year, Linda welcomed her first child, a son, Kendall Chandler, Jr.
Linda was a hard worker her whole life, working at Pen Bay Medical Center for many years. She began as a volunteer and candy-striper and over the years became a patient care specialist, in charge of answering patient phone calls.
A talented crafter, she enjoyed making jewelry, specifically beading and would often sell her pieces to co-workers. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies and collecting DVDs.
Predeceased by her parents; her son Kendall Chandler Jr.; a nephew, Timothy Wilson; and a sister-in-law, Charlene Wilson; Linda is survived by her son Christopher Chandler of Augusta; her daughter Kimberly Chandler and husband Joel of New Gloucester; former husband, Lawrence E. Haskel Jr. of China; brothers Timothy Wilson and his partner April Wilkie, Kenneth Wilson and his wife Theresa, Scott Wilson; aunt, Elizabeth Delano and her husband Robert of Cushing, several nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and a large loving extended family.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 3 p.m., at Seaview Cemetery, Waldo Avenue, Rockland (across from the Samoset Resort).
Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
