Land Trust announces lead sponsors for 25th-anniversary garden tour
ROCKLAND — Georges River Land Trust is pleased to announce that for the second year, First National Bank and First Advisors are lead sponsors of the Georges River Land Trust's Gardens in the Watershed Tour. This year's tour is the 25th anniversary and will showcase seven water view gardens on the St. George peninsula on July 10.
"We are thrilled to once again partner with the Land Trust to support this popular Midcoast summer event," commented Jake Miller, Branch Manager of First National Bank's Rockland offices in a news release. "We are so appreciative of the important work to protect the Georges River watershed," added Gary Stone, First Advisors portfolio manager, "Georges River Land Trust is integral in local conservation." First National Bank and First Advisors associates will again be volunteering at the event in addition to sponsoring.
Mark your calendars to attend the Gardens in the Watershed tour on Sunday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be short presentations on gardening topics, delicious lunch choices and a special 25th-anniversary raffle with live drawing. This year, the tour is expected to attract more than 500 attendees to the gardens in St. George, Spruce Head and Port Clyde. Sponsorships of the tour day and of individual gardens are still being accepted. Remaining sponsorships range from $100 — $500 and offer corresponding levels of benefits.
