James (Jim) Taylor, obituary
James (Jim) Taylor, 59, passed away peacefully on October 5 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, having valiantly fought an aggressive form of melanoma for over 3 years.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Nancy Harris and Richard Taylor, and is survived by his sister Teresa Farrar and husband Robert; brother, Richard Taylor and wife Anita; sister Wanda Chipman; brother Jeffrey Taylor; and brother Michael Johnson and wife Jennifer; and many extended family members.
Jim took great pride in his abilities and work ethic, and was happiest when he was on the water (or scuba diving beneath it). When not on the ocean, he enjoyed hardscaping, hiking, and going for leisurely drives.
Throughout his life, and even during his last months, he did everything in his power to avoid “being a burden,” and he hated to inconvenience anyone; through his strong will and positivity, he always tried to cheer up his care providers at every hospital visit. Jim was truly one of a kind, and as a son, uncle, nephew, and friend, he will be dearly missed.
Per his wishes, no service will be held.
