Gerald “Gary” A. Harriman, obituary
WASHINGTON — On June 3, Gerald “Gary” A. Harriman went to meet his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Born October 21, 1942, to Warren and Beatrice Harriman in Camden, Maine.
Gary married Susan Slavin in Connecticut in 1972.
Gary was a jack of all trades he could fix anything. He was into antiques and especially jewelry in the last years. Gary was also a long-time member of the Washington Village Church.
Gary was predeceased by his parents; brother Bob Harriman; son Dan Harriman and Shirley Woodman (Bill).
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Susan; along with four children, Dennis Harriman (Marian), Gerald S. Harriman, Meredith Smith (Kevin) and Christopher Harriman (Nanci); along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gary also leaves behind his two brothers Gilford Harriman and Alden Harriman; sister in-law Beth Cole and her husband Tim.
A memorial Service will be for Gary on June 23, at 1:30 p.m., at the Village Church in Washington, 33 Liberty Rd., with Pastor Brad Bean. Light refreshments following the service. Please dress casually and know Gary loved the Lord and his family and friends. A burial will be held at a later date with close friends and family.
Gary’s family would like to thank the hospice staff, Dr. Wistar, and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Village church.
