Dorothy E. Williams, obituary
UNION — Dorothy E. Williams left the bonds of earth on December 16, 2022, surrounded by her family. The love, compassion, and respect we send with her will help cushion her journey to her Maker where she will be looking forward to greeting her mom and dad, Marion A. and Edward C. Hempel, Jr.
Dottie leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Robert A. Williams; her son, Timothy Williams and his wife, Kimberly and their children Annabelle, Matthew, Madelyn, and Jacob; her daughter, Jennifer O’Sullivan and her husband, David; her sisters Kathryn Kenyon, Virginia Reinhold and her husband, Rodney Reinhold, mourn her loss as well.
She also leaves behind dedicated family friends Bruce and Dianne Perron, many Williams family members, nieces and nephews, and three granddogs, Ivy, Ava, and Charlie.
She was predeceased by her siblings Marion Rabinsky and Edward Hempel III, and brother in law, LeRoy Kenyon.
Dottie was a graduate of South Hadley High School, class of 1966, and completed a year-long business course at Holyoke Business School. She spent many years of her career in the accounting department of BG Mechanical Contractors, and later worked in accounts payable at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding of Thomaston, Maine. She had been fully retired since 2013, enjoying her time in Union, Maine on Seven Tree Pond and the surrounding environs of Midcoast.
Northampton, Massachusetts served as the home front for many years where she raised her family, providing years of love and support. She will be greatly missed as we carry her traditions on through this holiday season and beyond.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com.
