Dianne Lee (Guptill) Linscott, obituary
Dianne Lee (Guptill) Linscott passed away December 10, 2022 at the Sussman house with her loving husband and children by her side. She was a bright light until dementia took that light away.
Dianne was born August 19, 1946 in Owls Head to Robert Guptill and Doris Vinal Guptill. She graduated from Georges Valley High School in 1964. In August of 1969 she married Ronald Linscott. Together they raised their three children, Rob, Ronnie & Becky. After the kids were gone, they spent some time in Boca Grande & Myrtle Beach but always found their way back to the coast of Maine to be close to the family that Dianne loved and cherished deeply.
Dianne was a social butterfly and a bright light. No matter where she went, she lit up the room. She knew everyone and everyone knew her. She had a laugh that was infectious. She was a long-time member of AA and very proud of her sobriety and made many friends along the way, especially Carol Butler & Debbie Murray who were very fond of Di.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald, along with her son Rob (Sheena), Ron Jr. (Hollie), and daughter Becky (partner Anthony).
She also leaves behind her special aunt Cora Bergren; grandchildren Nick, Danielle, Megan, Derek, Kevin and Riley.
She also leaves behind great grandchildren Ella, Everett, Addison, Luca and Nolan; special friends Nathalie Witham and Brenda Miller whom she had known since childhood and many other friends, too numerous to mention.
Dianne is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Doris Guptill; grandson Ethan; and a special cousin, Judy; as well as her uncle Don Bergen & Tink Bergren.
The family would like to send a loving thank you to Lisa Pendleton, a special cousin of Dianne’s who spent many hours caring for her.
At the request of the deceased, a funeral service will not be held. Cremation will be with Riposta in Belfast.
The children will hold a celebration of life at a later date. TBD
