Cheryl Ann Spaulding, obituary
THOMASTON – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Ann Spaulding, 62, on July 24, 2021 after a year’s long battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born April 12, 1959 in Rockland, Maine. She graduated from Rockland District High School, Class of 1977, and shortly after, married Gerald Spaulding and started a family.
Throughout her life, people have been drawn to her because of her, kind, loving, and accepting nature. It was not out of the ordinary for her children’s friends and neighborhood kids to call her “Mom.”
Cheryl loved to be surrounded by loved ones and always seemed happiest trading stories by a campfire amongst close friends and family. She was part of the Aroostook Band of Mi’kmaqs and looked forward to attending the Mawiomi of Tribes every year where she met her current husband, Bill Meuse.
She is survived by her two children, Travis Spaulding and Cassandra Silvia, brothers James Gregory, Wayne Gregory, and John Gregory, son-in-law Eric Silvia, daughter-in-law Sharon Spaulding, close friend Robin Spaulding, and several nieces and nephews: James Gregory, Melanie Gomez, Mary Gregory, Maegan Gregory, Jennifer Loucks, and Sonya Leach. She is also survived by a multitude of family and friends who loved her greatly but are far too many to list. She loved you, too.
She was preceded in death by her spouse Bill Meuse, mother Mary Mabel Gregory, and father Robert Gregory.
There will be a traditional Mi'kmaq ceremony at her residence at 21 Emery Ave. Thomaston, ME 04861 on Saturday August 7, 2021, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, it is asked that donations in Cheryl’s memory be made to; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org
