Camden Rotary grant applications due Feb. 27
CAMDEN — Nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville can apply for Camden Rotary Club grants from now until February 27.
Eight grants will be awarded during this application cycle:
A single large grant of $10,000
Two large grants of $5,000
Five small grants of $1,000 each
Richard Householder, who chairs the club’s charitable grants committee, notes that this year’s grants will focus on organizations that address basic human needs.
“Many of our neighbors are experiencing deep hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Householder, in a Rotary news release. “So we are focusing all of our grants on organizations that provide direct help to people in need.”
All applications are due by February 27, 2021. Applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations registered to operate in Knox County or Lincolnville. They must also be ready and able this year to start the project for which they seek funding. For complete details about the grants program, please visit www.camdenrotary.org and click on the Grants tab. The club will announce grant awards this spring.
Since 2011, the Camden Rotary Club has distributed $218,500 in grants to local nonprofit organizations.
