Doug Hitchcox, Maine Audubon's Staff Naturalist, will give a report on "State of the Birds" hosted by the Midcoast Audubon Society, 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library.
Monday, Oct. 20
Health Insurance Requirements (ACA) Update provided by Dan Wyman of Allen Insurance and Financial, noon, at the Camden Public Library. The ACA requires Americans to have health insurance or pay a tax penalty. The next "open enrollment" period for individual health insurance policies is November 15 to February 15.
Tuesday, Oct. 21
"Adventure in Guadalajara," 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. Join the Kalajian family for their account of two years working, going to school, and travelling in amazing and diverse Mexico. Pete Kalajian taught physics, chemistry, and astronomy at the American School Foundation.
Thursday, Oct. 23
"An Empty Place at the Table" memorial display by New Hope for Women, all day at the Camden Public Library.
The Camden Conference hosts Prof. Seth Singleton on "History and Myth in Russian Foreign Policy," 7 p.m. at the Camden Public Library.
Saturday, Oct. 25
"Simply Books" club at the Camden Public Library, 2 p.m. Simply bring along whatever book you're currently reading and share it with the group.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
Spanish book club "Leer y charlar – totalmente en espanol!" 1 p.m. at the Camden Public Library. Spanish language reading and conversation group will continue "fourth Tuesday" meetings.
"Song Circle" at Camden Public Library, 6:30 p.m., will continue on the last Tuesday in November and December. The Song Circle is an occasional feature of the music series at the Camden Public Library, open to all acoustic musicians to share their songs, both traditional and original, in an informal song-circle format.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
Pumpkin Palooza at the Camden Public Library! Drop off your pumpkin in the Children's Garden any time that day or bring it with you when you come, the display will be lighted at 7 p.m. All ages and carving talents welcome and encouraged to participate.
