Busline League basketball roundup Jan. 8
The Busline League is going strong with both the large school and small school heading to the end of the season and the playoffs.
Coaches and managers are encouraged to report results and scores from their games as soon as possible after the game. To save everyone time, just take a photo of the score book for both teams and send it on to sports@penbaypilot.com. If you cannot take a photos of the books, just send final score, players totals and score by quarters for each team.
Here are the latest games reported.
Small School Boys
Lincolnville 66, Searsport B 4 ... At Lincolnville, The Lincolnville boys hosted Searsport B Wednesday afternoon handing the visitors a hard loss.
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Ivan Young and Branden Moulton had 12 points each; Sam Luft and Simon Polk 10 each; Skye Abaldo and Eric Andrews six each; Owen Markowitz and Hayden Marino five each.
For Searsport, Cody Reynolds scored all four points.

Small School Girls
Lincolnville 56, Searsport B 6 ... At Lincolnville, The Lynx came out strong and never trailed as they simply overpowered the opponent.
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Miranda Dunton had 20 points; Kristina Kelly 16; Lili Clement and Miranda Geary six each; and Hope Osgood and Alley Johnson four each.
For Searsport, Sarah Guet had four points; and Libby Frazee two each.

Large School Boys 7th Grade
Boothbay 46, Medomak MS 42 ... At Waldoboro, The Riverhawks gave it all they had Wednesday, but fell short in the end despite the excellent effort.
Kallon Motensen and Zach Cheeseman nailed a 3-pointer each, but it was not enough as Boothbay held on to the lead 13-10 at the end of one. In the second the Riverhawks couldn't find any continuity as the trailed by seven at the half 24-17. However in the third the boys put up 16 points lead by Parker Morrison with seven. Six players scored in the quarter to take the lead 33-32. In the fourth quarter it was a back and forth battle, but in the end the foul line was the difference for Boothbay.
Scoring for Medomak were, Ethan Reed had 11 points; Parker Morrison nine; Zach Cheeseman eight; Ian Doughty six; Brandon Starr four; Kallon Mortensen three and Zach Winpenny one.
For Boothbay, Laeden Davis had a game high 22 points; Sullivan nine; Ben seven; and Kaleb six. No first names available.
"I am really proud of my boys," said coach Richard Vannah. "I hope they get another shot at Boothbay in the playoffs."
Medomak MS 59, Great Salt Bay 11 ... At Damariscotta, On Monday, Jan. 4 the Riverhawks traveled to Great Salt Bay and took care of business early.
In the first quarter Brandon Starr scored 10 of his game high 16 points to put the Riverhawks on top by 19-2. In the second the Riverhawks scored 20 more with Ian Doughty and Brandon Starr leading the way, with six each. They went into the half up 39-5. In the third the boys worked on their offense and slowed down the fast breaks and only scored 10 led by Issac McCollett and Ethan Reed with four each. And in the fourth the Hawks scored 10 more led by Zach Sincyr with four points.
Scoring for Medomak were, Starr with 16; Zach Cheeseman eight; Ian Doughty, Issac McCollett and Ethan Reed six each; Sincyr five; Max Moody four; and Noah Crosby, Kallon Mortensen, Aiden Starr and Parker Morrison two each.
For Great Salt Bay, Nick Prior had five points; Will Farrel three; Cameron Bragg two; and Jiles Morton one.
Large School Girls 7th Grade
Oceanside Blue 38, Camden Rockport 30... At Rockland, The Schooners of Camden-Rockport traveled to Rockland to take on Oceanside Blue Wednesday evening, falling to the hosts.
Scoring for Camden-Rockport were, Lexi Heidorn with nine points; Alexia Cazemajou eight; Anya Babb-Brott six; Alexandra Southworth five; and Hannah Fiske two.
For Oceanside, Katherine Freeman had a game high 18; Grace Woodman 10; Olivia Dougherty four; and Jessica Watkinson, Autumn Harvey and Lydia Ross two each.

Camden-Rockport 35, Oceanside White 18 ... At Rockland, On Monday the Schooners traveled to Rockland District Middle School to take on Oceanside white where they picked up the win.
Scoring for Camden-Rockport were; Alexandra Southworth had 13 points; Lexi Heidorn 10; Ayna Babb-Brott four; and Hannah Friske, This Allen, Mary Kate Pons and Ava Baeza had two each.
For Oceanside, Hannah Robinson had six; Carleigh Pease four; and Lydia Laslovie, Fiona Charlson and Emma Gernish two each.

Boothbay 33, Camden-Rockport 19 ... At Camden, On Friday, the Schooners hosted Boothbay.
"It was a much better game than our first meeting," said Camden coach Cheryl Beveridge. "Boothbay beat us by 35 first time and only 14 this time around. We held Boothbay to a close first half only allowing them to score one basket in the second quarter going into a one point half time spread. CR rebounded very well only allowing them one shot each possession. Seeing this kind of improvement for a coach is a victory in itself."

Medomak MS 47, Boothbay 39... At Boothbay, on Wednesday the Riverhawks traveled to Boothbay for a game coming home the winner in a hard fought battle.
Tied at 35 at the end of the third quarter the Riverhawks scored 12 points while holding Boothbay to four points for the win.
Scoring for Medomak were; Chole Blake (2 points, rebound), Kayla Donlin (17 points, 4 rebounds), Cheyenne Nash (2 points, 2 rebounds), Hannah Prock (1 point, 3 rebounds), Sadie Cohen (23 points, 7 rebounds), Taylor Post (2 rebounds), Paige Powell (2 points, 2 rebounds), and Natalie Shields (2 rebounds).
Boothbay scorers were not available.
Medomak MS 43, Great Salt Bay 21 ... At Waldoboro, on Monday, Jan. 4 the Riverhawks hosted the Cougars of Great Salt Bay doubling up the score on the visitors.
Leading scorers for Medomak were; Kayla Donlin (23 points, rebound, 3 steals), Sadie Cohen (23 points, 6 rebounds, steal), Cheyenne Nash (6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), Hannah Prock (8 points, 2 rebounds, 4-4 from the foul line), and Natalie Shields (2 points).
