Bruce Mayo is Belfast Co-op’s featured artist for November
BELFAST - The Belfast Cooperative will host the artwork of Bruce Mayo during the month of November as part of their monthly Maine Artist series. All are invited to come see his vibrant paintings in our Deli Cafe Gallery.
A resident of Hallowell, Mayo has been exhibiting his exuberantly-hued work throughout the Portland/central-Maine restaurant scene for more than 30 years. He works in an array of mediums, including pastels, acrylics, watercolors and ink. Mayo's color-rich, expressive paintings portray everything from landscapes to insect life, dogs, birds and musicians with what he deems a "whimsical, ethereal and playful twist."
His most significant body of work to date has been an installation at the Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell, and he has also created murals and other pieces on a commission basis.
For examples of Mayo's work, visit his Facebook site, "Bruce Mayo's Art Page," or better yet, come by the Co-op any day this month and see for yourself! Winter is coming, but color and light are Vitamin D for the spirit, so come soak up a dose to offset November's dreary trudge.
If you are an artist interested in showing your work in the café, please contact Carisa at marketing@belfast.coop for more information.
