A birthday troupe gathers in Camden to celebrate
CAMDEN - When eight women and one man are running around the Public Landing at Camden Harbor laughing and carrying on it's really nothing out of the ordinary. When those same individuals are all sporting a large, sparkling, numeral 50 on their heads, it warrants a second look, and maybe a couple of questions.
Dawn Molnar celebrated her 50th birthday two weeks ago, but her trip to Camden was her birthday trip.
"This has been my dream trip for a long time," she said. "I rented a house on the water in Northport and invited all my friends."
Molnar said her sister planned the day’s events.
"We went on a windjammer cruise this morning and we're waiting on our ride to take us to another birthday surprise we are traveling to."
Molnar said she had no idea what the surprise in store for her was going to be. I considered tagging along to document the event, but then it dawned on me that what happens in Camden, stays in Camden. I bid the group a fond farewell and took the opportunity to wish Dawn, happy birthday, one more time.
