Annette E. Merrill, obituary
WARREN — Annette E. Merrill, 63, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Born in Jonesport, October 22, 1959, she was the daughter of Monty, Sr. and Evelyn Woodward Davis. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Georges Valley High School.
Annette began working as a young woman, first at Zayer’s Department Store and later as an electronics assembler at Tibbetts Industries in Camden.
When not busy working, Annette loved being with family, going to camp with her husband, Mike, playing dice games and collecting anything to do with lighthouses or aliens. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler, winning several trophies while bowling on local leagues. She looked forward to family BBQ’s in the summer, watching the Patriots in the fall, and always enjoyed mystery and reality shows on TV.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her mother; Annette is survived by her father, Monty Davis, Sr. and his companion Elaine Sampson of Morrill; her husband, Michael Merrill of Warren; her children, Adam Davis of Warren, Dennis Wadford, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jamie Lind of Rockland; her step-daughters, Naomie Merrill and her companion Keith Condon of Bath, Heather Merrill of Wiscasset; eight grandchildren, Bryce Condon, Michael Condon, Reagan Wadford, Jennifer Lind, Randall Lind and James Lind, Austin Williams and Isaac Williams; her siblings, Bea Turner of Liberty, Patty Maxwell of Rockland, Monty Davis, Jr. of Hope, Michael Davis of Rockland, Vicki Davis of Thomaston; as well as several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, October 30, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, where a celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11 a.m., (Halloween, one of Annette’s favorite days).
