Amzy (Bud) Hodgkins, 92, passed away May 19, 2023, at EMMC in Bangor after residing for several months at Brewer Health and Rehab Center in Brewer, Maine.

Bud was born December 5, 1930, in Jefferson, Maine, to Ralph and Angie Bowman Hodgkins. After attending school in Jefferson, he met and married Gloria Hill, of St. George, Maine. They were married for 20 years and had two sons, Scott and Mark.

Bud attended West Rockport Baptist Church regularly.

Bud worked a variety of jobs but also worked for the Maine State Highway Dept. before his retirement.

In his earlier years he liked to fish, hunt, and play baseball for local teams in the St. George and Waldoboro areas.

Bud was one of 14 brothers and sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Wallace, Ralph Jr., Donald, Jimmy, and two sisters, Helen and Charlotte.

He is survived by brothers Charlie and Harold, and five sisters, Ellen, Betty, Phyllis, Daisy, and Ruby.

He is also predeceased by his second wife, Mary, of thirty years of marriage.

He is survived by many step-children and step-grandchildren.

A service will be held June 9, at 1 p.m., at West Rockport Baptist Church. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
