Alynne L. Bell, obituary
SOUTH THOMASTON — Alynne L. Bell, age 79, of South Thomaston, died peacefully at her daughter’s home, on February 27, 2024.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on January 1, 1945, Alynne was the daughter of Charles A. and Valda C. (Fiske) Bell. Alynne attended and graduated Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to get college credits to which she would use to make a career for herself. She was a Direct Care Provider for several different companies.
Alynne was a Tribal Card-Carrying Member of the Osage Nation, a mid-western tribe. She enjoyed cooking, loved telling stories and could often be found taking a “stroll down memory lane”. She was known to be a strong, independent, yet kind soul. Alynne also loved participating in theater in Damariscotta.
Alynne was predeceased by a daughter, Stefani Bell Flaherty.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Brockman and her partner Peter Bathgate of South Thomaston; her grandchildren, Caleb Bixby, of Cushing, Caitlynn Chubbuck, and her husband Troy, of Sanford, Chandler Breen, of Rockland, Chase Breen, and his wife Sierra, of Warren, Cory Breen, of Rockport, Ashley Hoetzel and Patrick Flaherty, and their children; great-grandson Cory Brockman; great-grandchild Kacie Benner; as well as a life-long best friend, Diane Shearer, of Texas.
The family has chosen to remember Alynne’s life privately.
