BELFAST — A Lincolnville woman was arrested after her vehicle was reported to police as being off the side of Searsport Avenue Sept. 12, near Admiral Inn.

Colleen M. Wellman was charged with operating under the influence as a result of the single-vehicle crash, according to Belfast Police Chief Michael McFadden.

Officer Travis Spencer responded to the scene around 8:20 p.m., where he found her Subaru Outback laying off the roadway, resting on the its side.

An ambulance crew checked Wellman for injuries, with Spencer placing her under arrest once she was medically cleared.

Wellman was also cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and possessing an open container, drinking in a motor vehicle.

Wellman is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3.
